Reports are pouring in from all over the globe with the heading we are all tired of Hearing!!!
As we get into the thick of a northern hemisphere winter coupled with holiday season we are forced into a split thought process, on one hand we gotta hope the year ends already but on the other we want to try and make the most of what we got.
Winter sports were cut short in the northern Hemisphere last year (19/20) for the same reason but those who did the right thing helped to slow down the virus and give everyone a fighting shot for the 20/21 season. Well done, its been tough on everyone.
Good news is hitting headlines with Regards to Vaccines for the Covid-19 Pandemic all over the world, But it’s unlikely it will be able to be rolled out quick enough to save our winter sports, understandably the vaccines will start with front line workers and those who are at higher risk first.
So stick to the plan; cover up, wash your hands, stay indoors as much as you can, only socialize within minimal groups or your home/family unit. Hold on a bit longer! we got this, as a planet we’ll knock this out soon enough.
During this holiday season wherever you are in the world, most important thing to do is stay safe and to let your loved ones know you are thinking about them whether you are with them or not.
With most of Europe switched off to mountain sports this winter, it looks like our friends in Europe may have to practice turns on a treadmill based contraption at home. or if you are lucky enough maybe in your own backyard. In any case we are thinking of you!
Those fortunate enough to get to enjoy the slopes in Canada and the U.S we wish you a safe season!
For those who are less fortunate with regards to winter this season, spare a thought for your favourite venues and try to send them some encouragement to hang on, in most cases the businesses at our favourite snow resorts have peoples livelihoods behind them, if they are still able to provide a service see if you can find a way to support them, If we work together life will return to normal soon enough!
and to everyone around the world Have a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hannukha, Ramadan, Kwanzaa and for any other variation of celebration you reserve for holiday season!
