You read it right! Snow in the western state of Australia.
Known for its barren rolling plains, open cut mines and scorching hot days WAs southern region got a covering of snow on good friday.
Bluff Knoll in the Stirling Ranges is known to get snow once or twice a season but very rarely this early on. The BOM said they have only ever recorded it this early in the year one other time in the last 100 years.
Most importantly, does this mean more snow earlier for us powder hounded on the east coast!?! No. Not really but it sure does get us excited for the pending season!
