Hokkaido is known for it’s amazing fresh produce and seafood and Ezo Seafoods embraces just that.

Ezo Seafoods was started by James Gallagher and Keiko Takaoka in 2009. They wanted to “offer visitors to Niseko a better seafood experience” and that’s exactly what they did. Ezo is a very unique experience. In the early days they used traditional paper style menus but struggling to keep up with the change in fresh seafood offering they decided to switch to a more agile approach. They don’t just call in their order and the seafood turns up, they personally pick what is good on the day to ensure you get the best seafood, every day. All of the seafood is on display and you can just pick what looks good to you!

Also known as Ezo Seafood Oyster Bar, they always have some of the worlds best oysters available. These locally sourced Hokkaido oysters are known for their texture and flavor unique to the North of Japan.

While things change every day, some of our favourites are the Notsuke Peninsula Scallops and the Hairy Crab (not to forget the oysters!)

Now, because Ezo is so good it can get very busy. You can book in advance on this link but if you miss out, never fear! They always keep some tables free for walk ins.

Ezo is located just off the main road. Right in the middle of town you will find it on Momiji Zaka Street (the address is 170-165 Aza Yamada, Kutchan, Hokkaido 044-0081).

So, if you are in Niseko and looking for a fantastic, unforgettable seafood experience, you have found the right place!

Ezo Seafood is 100% Genki Approved!
