The Après Lounge

We were really pleased to experience a fresh take on the Jindabyne dining scene this 2017 season and The Après Lounge did not disappoint.

The restaurant is open to the public, but plan ahead and book a table, you will kick yourself if you miss out.

The Après Lounge is the dining experience offered from the friendly folks at The Jindy Inn Hotel. Serving the snowy mountains for many years The Jindy Inn is certainly a staple of the community.

Travellers from near and far enjoy lake views and great food in a very convenient location just a 5 minute stroll from town centre.

The Après Lounge has a fairly discreet exposure, but it’s not like you need a treasure map to find the place (map seen below).

We could talk about the menu all day long but to give you an idea of some personal favourites;

We sampled the Combination Prawn Entree & the Lamb Rump as a main for some serious melt in your mouth cooked to perfection eating. Next time we are there though it’s got to be the Whole Local Rainbow Trout or the Home made Beef & Bacon Pie!! YUM!

For those who have already enjoyed the menu, we are sure they will be shouting from the hills about their experience, we prefer to use this platform though so take our word on this one and get down to The Après Lounge  for some tasty food, refreshing drinks and great service!

This gem is only in operation over winter so don’t miss out!

Alec lacked direction for many years. He floated around enjoying basic day to day creature comforts like salt, beers and nasi goreng. Then he got a real job and today he loves nothing more than snowboarding, writing for Genki and just being the #1 snow hound this world has ever seen.
