Sun Deck Hotel

Comments off

Sun Deck Hotel is an awesome place to spend a bit of time while you are at the snow. Aptly named for its large outdoor area that weather permitting will see the sun from first light till about 4-5pm. WOOOO!

Sun deck opens its doors during the day and caters some very delicious mountain treats and beverages. There is also an indoor area with dining, bar and great views if the weather holds up.

if you can get there by night (it is halfway up front valley) you can expect to see a variety of different entertainment pieces such as a comedy night a karaoke night and of course as much as you can drink within the rules.

Don’t worry the party shuffles indoors at night time! so you won’t have to freeze outside

To access the sun deck follow signs to the Halfpipe visible from front valley, this should be achievable from the v8 as well as Mitchell & Telemark T-Bars

We highly recommend it either as a pit stop to refuel and defrost or to kick back and enjoy your surroundings and company.

Everyday during winter best to visit around lunch time and for the various hosted events during winter

Alec took his slabs of wood worldwide for years. He floated around enjoying basic day to day creature comforts like salt, beers and nasi goreng, amidst chasing snow for as many days of the year as possible. Then he got a day job... But the dream lives on, Today he loves nothing more than snowboarding, writing for Genki and just being the #1 snow hound this world has ever seen.
