Rumors are that winter is coming, and with that some changes are in the works for the Brumby Bar, very exciting stuff as this venue has been a team favorite of the crew at Genki for many many years.
If you haven’t been yet we highly recommend it, the atmosphere is excellent the decor is what you would expect from an alpine bar, and it manages to tell a tale or two about the local history all at the same time.
The food has changed ever so slightly over the years, as you could probably expect from any establishment pumping out thousands and thousands of home style meals per year! The generous servings will keep your energy levels high! so that you are ready to tackle the mountain or explore town. The flowing bar is prepped to service the masses (responsibly). Don’t get too carried away on the drinks though they work hard enough as it is.
The bar joins with the large dining area above fit to serve hundreds of hungry travelers each night and beyond that the expansive building becomes accommodation servicing the sleepy explorer. If you are wise you will book ahead to ensure a great deal and an available time slot. The name to remember if you are looking to book yourself some sleeping quarters is Alpine Gables.
Maybe I’m focused on the bar here, but accommodation at Alpine Gables means a very gentle indoors stroll to an excellent drinking spot and that is priceless, its cold out there, why risk it ?
Moral of the story is, it has it all so check out The Brumby Bar and Grill Facebook here.
